From a seed of compassion planted 70 years ago, Pleasant View Communities continues to grow and bear fruit. What began as a small rest home on 12 acres has blossomed into a thriving community that now extends its roots deep into the heart of Manheim through Hoffer Farm.
The farm that once helped sustain Edna Hoffer’s original vision now nourishes an entire community, both physically through its produce and spiritually through the connections it fosters.

This mission shapes everything we do. Therapy animals bring smiles to residents’ faces. Library programs spark curiosity in children. Wedding celebrations unite families. Food donations serve our neighbors in need.

Wellness for All Generations
PVFiT fitness programs, walking trails, swimming pool, and comprehensive wellness services help residents and members of the surrounding community stay healthy and happy.
When life requires additional medical attention, our care options—including Personal Care, Nursing Care, Rehabilitation, and Memory Support programs—are all provided on campus, ensuring continuity of care without the disruption of relocation.

The Kreider Farms Cultural Center
Home to elegant event spaces and the relocated Manheim Community Library, the Cultural Center serves as a hub where generations connect and celebrations unfold.
The Working Farm
Hoffer Farm continues Edna’s legacy with therapy animals, hydroponics, greenhouses, and trails—plus future orchards and gardens.
Future Makerspace
Plans are underway for a creative space where all ages can explore arts, crafts, and technology to foster connections between generations.
